The Outlaw Orchestra – A powerhouse four piece, based in the Deep South UK, comprising:
David Roux on guitars and lead vocals,
Ryan Smith on drums/vocals,
Pete Briley on Banjo/Lap Steel/Vocals,

The style is a unique blend of hard Southern Rock through to Cajun, Country, Flamenco and all cooked together with their unique signature style of ‘Heavygrass’, described as “A melting pot of styles from American Southern rock, British 70’s rock, Louisiana roots to bluegrass.
”The sound is truly unique, which showcases the musical talent which each band member brings to the fold, having the musical maturity to mix high energy with moody soulful rock, they have drawn comparisons to early The Cadillac Three, Blackberry Smoke, The Allman Brothers Band, The Faces, The Black Crowes and even Motorhead through to the Cosmic American country genre”.
“Everywhere the band go, with their unique blend of feel good and fun time countrified rock n roll, the crowds turn up in their masses to stay for the ride and rock out till the beer taps run dry”.
It’s been 18 months since the release of the Outlaw Orchestra’s debut “The Devil Made Me Do It” and it’s been quite a ride. The quartet have toured their unique brand of Good-Time, Southern Country, Rock ’n’ Roll “Heavygrass” across the country in support of Artists such as the Darkness, Dan Baird and Warner Hodges, including Festival appearances at Ramblin’ Man Fair, Winter’s End, The Rock and Blues Custom Show, Planet Rockstock and HRH Crows (Main Stage O2 Academy Sheffield), Rockin’ the Bowl alongside bands like Reef, Doctor and the Medics, Foreigner, The Kris Barras Band, Brothers Osborne, Black Star Riders and Black Stone Cherry.
Playing close to 2,000 rock fans at Planet Rocks Winters End festival February 2018, which gained them an incredible new fan base and they managed to sell out of all merchandise after two hours of meet and greet. They replicated the success of the Winters End festival by pulling the biggest crowd of the weekend at The Rising Stage of Ramblin Man Festival this summer. In September the band performed on the main stage at the O2 Academy Sheffield for HRH CROWS and on the Main Stage of the Rockin’ the Bowl – Forged in Hell festival, also in Sheffield, a town that has become a second home for the band.
The second EP, “God Knows We Tried”, is a smorgasbord of the band’s extensive songwriting capabilities filtered through their signature sound of Rock Drums and Electric Guitars fused with upright bass and bluegrass banjo. Fans of the first record and the band’s early work will pleased at the inclusion of uptempo rockers ‘Country High’ and ‘Burn The House’, but there is also a wider exploration of the band’s sound and remarkable lyrical wit in the title track “God Knows” and the expansive megalith “Phantasmagoria”. This EP was recorded and produced themselves and served as a precursor to the debut album that has been recorded at The Old Chapel Studios in Chichester UK and is set for release May 29th 2020. This will capture the sound that they produce live and will unveil several new songs and band favourites that have never yet been recorded. The debut album will be available on CD, Vinyl and all other music media platforms.
With a full length album due for release May 29th 2020 and a full live schedule that will take them from Bournemouth to Inverness there is a lot to come from the Outlaw Orchestra.
