Danny McMahon is known for his authentic and honest lyrical content, combined with a charming, infectious blend of classic country and accessible pop sounds. Since the release of his debut single ‘What It’s Like’ and accompanying EP ‘Making Memories’ in 2017, Danny has been inspired to create a unique sound that will be relatable to and welcomed by a range of audiences. Danny became the first UK artist to attend and perform at Springboard Festival, CA and as a result, was invited to write and record with 5-time Grammy nominated and 27-dove nominated songwriter and producer Billy Smiley.
Danny’s journey has continued with the release of ‘Momentarily’ [EP – 2018) and ‘Boys Cry Too’ [EP – 2019] which reached #2 in the UK Country iTunes Album chart and includes the #1 UK Country single ‘When I See You’. Danny has been recognised with a plethora of awards and finished 2019 touring Sweden [Live at Heart], Italy [Voghera Country Festival], Nashville and the UK. Danny’s latest single ‘Lonely’, described to ‘capture the purity and sincerity surrounding the artists individual and charismatic vocal’ reached #4 in the UK Country iTunes singles chart. The latest single has been featured on BBC Radio Wales A-list and has had regular play on Chris Country.
2020 was set to be an incredible year with confirmed appearances in Berlin, Germany [Country Music Meeting], Harrisburg, PA [Millennium Music Conference], Country2Country, O2 Arena, London and a number of other national and international shows were planned but the Coronavirus came along and virtually wiped out the whole year for live performance. Danny, like everyone else, will be hoping that 2021 brings a return to normality for live music.
Danny’s brand new single ‘My Kinda City’, co-written with Nashville’s Tyler Bank reached #1 in the UK Country iTunes Chart and Top 100 in the all-genre charts.
